It is of high importance that the trees you donate can provide several children with additonal fruits, nuts and other edible products as a supplement to their school meals. Our partner, Better Globe Forestry, develops the best tree seedlings possible and plants them together with children at chosen schools.
Trees grow differently in each area and Better Globe Forestry makes sure that the donated trees are the right type for the district and will grow well around the schools. As part of the tree donation program, Better Globe Forestry recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kengen Foundation in regards to an educational framework to the tree donation program. The project targets primary school pupils and aims to spread a culture of reforestation and conservation of natural resources. Currently, the project has 80 participating primary schools in the 7 Forks area, with the plans to extend into 200 schools in Embu and Machakos Counties in Kenya.
